Career Journey

Originally from South Texas, Patricia developed a passion for healthcare while assisting in her family's healthcare business. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi in 2010 and worked as a registered nurse in inpatient acute care and outpatient long-term care before relocating to Houston in 2013 to join St. Luke's Hospital. In 2016, she transitioned into nephrology under the mentorship of Dr. Munikrishnappa — laying the foundation for her leadership role at HKSC, which she has been part of since its founding in March 2019. In 2021, Patricia earned her Master's degree from Texas Woman's University as an Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.

Patricia's dual experience as a clinical provider and practice supervisor gives her a unique perspective on care coordination and patient experience — both of which she champions passionately at HKSC. Her clinical background and dedication to patient-centered care have been instrumental in shaping the organization, from establishing new office locations to hiring and training staff in alignment with the company's mission of compassionate, high-quality care.

Beyond Medicine

Outside of work, Patricia cherishes time with her husband, their child, and extended family. She enjoys traveling, dancing, and playing tennis in her spare time.
