Career Journey
Dr. Sultan obtained his medical degree at the University of Tishreen and completed a 4-year residency in internal medicine at the University of Damascus in Syria before moving to the United States. He completed a second residency in internal medicine at St. Vincent Charity Medical Center / Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, and subsequently joined Cleveland Clinic Foundation as an attending physician and assistant professor at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine, where he was involved in teaching and supervising internal medicine residents. He then pursued his passion for nephrology, completing his fellowship at the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2015.
